Best Online Streaming Sites 2022

Online streaming sites are always evolving and changing what they have to offer. These sites are constantly being updated with new content, which means there’s always something new for you to watch. However, there is no set date right now for when any of these sites will open up their doors again in 2022, because all of them have been taken down due to a copyright takedown request filed with their services providers.

Vimeo:

Vimeo owner Ben C strikes a deal with mega-conglomerate NBC Universal (Vimeo’s biggest benefactor) and quietly shuts down the site on May 31, 2022. Clicking on Vimeo now yields an “ERROR 404” message. Okay, it’s not that big of a deal, since even YouTube shut down for a few weeks after taking too many copyright claims. But Vimeo is still around if you really need it. You can watchcartoononline also.

iTunes:

Apple takes music off iTunes completely in order to amass enough money to roll out its new music streaming service to replace all other streaming services on the planet by 2022.

Sony Crackle:

Sony Crackle is shut down around about the same time as Vimeo, on June 2nd, 2022. Their CEO announces on Facebook that Sony Crackle is closing down because it’s no longer profitable enough to keep running.

Netflix:

Netflix’s lawsuit against Comcast goes through the appeals process and ends up in the hands of Supreme Court Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr., who rules in favor of Comcast lawyers so that Netflix cannot offer its streaming service without paying a tax to Comcast. However, all streaming services are required to pay this tax by 2022, because then-Supreme Court Chief Justice Roberts Jr. states that broadcasting isn’t really a form of “communication” anyway.

Xfinity:

Xfinity, Comcast’s ISP division, strikes a deal with NBC Universal to merge Xfinity and Crackle into one service. Xfinity starts offering a trial of its new streaming service on Netflix in order to gauge the public’s reaction to the merger.

CBS All Access:

CBS files a lawsuit against Netflix for stealing all of its programming without its permission. The suit is thrown out due to CBS being too old and too busy trying not to completely melt down right now.

Hulu:

Hulu cuts off all YouTube access because it finds out YouTube exists when it starts doing research on Hulu’s competitors. Hulu also bans Netflix from using their platform as well since they’re handling most of Hulu’s original programming now anyway.

Stream East:

Stream East, an entertainment conglomerate founded by Sam Mendes (director of Skyfall), Danny Boyle (director of Slumdog Millionaire) and Emma Watts (manager of Barbra Streisand’s new album, who NBC Universal purchases after Streisand apparently freaks out at realizing it’s not just going to be a single “music streaming” app like Spotify), files a lawsuit against YouTube and Amazon over their acquisitions of streaming services. The lawsuit is thrown out due to Stream East being too busy doing whatever it is they’re doing.

Puppy Playground:

1.2 billion pet dogs in the world die from choking on their own vomit due to YouTube not having any pet videos anymore.

Yahoo:

Yahoo files a lawsuit against YouTube for stealing all of Yahoo’s patents without permission and selling them back to Yahoo. The lawsuit is thrown out because Yahoo is too old and too busy trying not to completely melt down right now plus everything that can be done with technology has been done by now.

Google:

Google files a lawsuit against Vimeo for stealing all of Google’s patents without permission and using them for themselves. The lawsuit is thrown out because YouTube has claimed all of Google’s patents in an effort to corner the market on technology.

Lionsgate Films:

AMC acquires Lionsgate Films and completely rebrands it as AMC Films. This is because AMC Films is actually not a film production company anymore; it’s the new name for AMC Theaters and all of its subsidiaries now.

StreamingVideo:

StreamingVideo, an entertainment conglomerate founded by Walt Disney (creator of Steamboat Willie) and his wife Lillian Bounds Disney (creator of Plane Crazy), files a lawsuit against Stream East and Vimeo for stealing all of its patents. The lawsuit is thrown out because there is no technology left for anyone to steal.
