Fast And Furious: The Most Remarkable And Insane Tech Featured In The Franchise So Far

Fast and Furious is one of the best franchises that has incorporated some of the most outstanding technological advancements, making it a significant global success. Over two decades, the franchise has gained popularity. And if you want to see how the tech unfolds, you don’t have to shuffle through the films; you can have the list of Fast & Furious movies in order.

From turning cars to invisible during spy missions to the creation of drones, Fast and Furious tech is unmatched; let’s have a look at some of the craziest technology used by the franchise so far;

1. Digital car cloning: Fast & Furious Spy Racers season 4

The Fast and Furious changed the car culture, some of which is still in use today. Car cloning was used to manipulate any existing videos or photos to produce some highly realistic graphical representations, making it hard for any human eye to detect or differentiate from the real thing.

The technology was introduced ahead of F9. Tony used the tech to evade detection or trick police. The digital drones made their cars mirror the original ones.

2. Bolt & Bolt X: Fast & Furious 9

With the project on hand, the Fast & Furious team had no choice but to push beyond limits. They had to ensure they captured complex car actions using thrilling camera movements. One way they managed this is by using Bolt. To get special effects, they had to incorporate DNEG visual effects to get a preview of the shots.

Do you remember when Brian and Dom in Fast & Furious 7 stole a car by pulling it up by a magnet from the Etihad Towers window and crashing it on the ground? This was done with the help of Bolt. The device would mechanically help move a fixed car to a location and link it up with the motion control rig by using a pneumatic ram or the pulley system that helped produce linear motion. And this brought Justin Lin, F9 director vision, to reality.

3. God’s Eye: F7, The Fate of The Furious,

God’s Eye was one of Ramsey’s fastest forms of technology.

The device could send information back to the user within minutes. Besides, it worked best when close to the user, though it would also work from greater distances. The device was commonly used in Furious 7 to track anyone in real-time.

We have a grasp of the device when Ramsey took the device to Abu Dhabi to have it secretly kept. When Ramsey got kidnapped by Jakande’s men and asked to reveal the identity of God’s Eye, she had to do so to save her life. But giving out the information was based on an agreement that the men would use the device to track down Dominic Torrento, Deckard Shaw, and other crew members.

The Jakande’s men managed to save Ramsey after she revealed that the device was with Abu Dhabi. God’s Eye was again located when Dom and Cipher stole it, and it’s not known what transpired after that.

4. The Snowflake: Hobbs And Shaw

The Snowflake was a virus.

Initially, the virus was formed by Prof. Andreiko as a vaccine. But one of Andreiko’s employees was against the growth of the population and stated that it had weak people who needed to be eliminated. Soon, the MI6 agent stole the virus to avoid the enormous threat.

Unfortunately, Brixton, Lore, who was an Eaton’s soldier, interrupted the mission, and in the process, the virus wiped out all the agents present, except Hattie Shaw. Hattie managed to transfer the virus into her system.

But the virus was then captured during the Battle of Samoa. When Brixton Lore learned of the aftermath, he kidnapped her to secure the virus. Though Hattie was meant to be killed, the CIA ordered that she be caught alive to get more information about the virus.

5. Project Aries: The Fast and the Furious

Project Aries was a dangerous digital device used in F9 to control world computers and any other advanced weapon system.

Elle’s parents built Project Aries. It was then split into two halves to ensure it was free from opposing threats. But Mr. Nobody had intentions of capturing it, so he set Han Seoul-Oh to Elle’s parents. However, rogue agents managed to stomp the house in an attempt to recover the device.

Han witnessed as they tried to kill Elle. Nevertheless, Mr.Nobody chose to have Elle, and the device was kept safe as she would help activate it. And so, he faked Han’s death, who both escaped to Tokyo. Interestingly, Mr. Nobody managed to reclaim half of the Project Aries from Han when on their plane, but he got attacked by Jakob.

Soon, the plane crashed, and Mr. Nobody, who was still in possession of the first half of the Project Aries, was forced to send a signal for help to Ramsey and other crew to locate the plane.

Unfortunately, the team got attacked by the military but managed to keep the device in Letty’s motorcycle compartment for safety. But Letty was knocked off, and the device fled with Jakob Toretto.
