CinderellaThis is one of our favourite animated Disney films and fairytales. Little girls long to be princesses. They will be reunited happily ever after when a handsome prince comes along. It’s pure and beautiful.
CinderellaThis folk-tale has many variations, but the basic idea of the story remains the same. toUnjust oppression and triumphant rewards Giambattista Basile wrote the first European literary version. Charles Perrault made it most famous.
However CinderellaThis is often attributed to toThey did not create it, Disney. The story they chose to tell in the movies is closer to Disney’s original idea. to Perrault’s version. It’s a good choice, as it is aesthetically pleasing. tobe better suited for children.
I’ll admit that I was a child and believed that the original story belonged. toDisney until proven otherwise. Intrigued and curious, I’veRead the tale written by Brothers Grimm. Now, this is something you don’t want to read to your children before bedtime; it’s more likely a scary tale than a fairy tale.
This is where you can find: Cinderella’s father is alive and apparently tolerates the mistreatment of his child and instead of the fairy godmother, there’s a white bird that grants her wishes everytime she prays under the tree that the girl planted over her mother’s grave. While Disney’s shoe fitting scene is actually amusing, in Grimms’ tale one stepsister cuts off her toes and the other one, her heel… But back to the version we love — We’re all grown up now and tough enough toSave yourself. We know that “prince” is just another word for the one that can help us build our own modern fairytale. But CinderellaThis is one of those stories that we grew up with and kept us dreaming all through our childhoods. toYou should never settle for less happiness than you deserve. It taught us a lot. toNever give up on your dreams.
