I’d like to introduce a new idea to help organize your home: the Interactive Kid’s Chore ChartCardsI had previously used a handwritten chore sheet, but I kept forgetting that I needed to pay my kids for their chores. They would also forget to record when they finished one. I needed something more Visual for everyone, and got this wonderful idea from a woman at my local homeschool mom’s night this month!

You will need the following supplies:
- Cardstock (for my printable cards, tickets, etc)
- Pocket ChartSimilar to the one in this photo.
- Reward Stickers
- Small Prize Box (You can make it any way you want)
- If you do not wish to print color, pages 24-29 can be printed in black and white.

1. Card with child’s name
2. 2. Mon – Fri ChoreCards to be completed
7. Reward tickets earned, Sticker Sheets, Best“ Bee-havior” awards
8. Additional Cards can be stored in the bottom slots
Instructions for Use
In the 2nd-6th slots, place the Monday-Friday task card. Once a task is complete, your child may turn the card around and return the rest of the cards to the previous day. To keep things simple, I used only one color per day.
Check out the tasks that were completed at the end of each day and then switch them with Reward tickets. Your child can spend his tickets in a small prize bag at the end. Instead of a prizeboxYou can also allow your kids to exchange their tickets in return for money. We pay $0.25/ticket. We encourage them to save money so they can buy the things they want.
Your child will receive a sticker if they finish all of the tasks within the given time frame. Rewards cardIn the 7th slot. Once that reward card is full, they can exchange it for something more special like larger prize box, I use things like mini-Lego sets, Pet-Shop’s, Polly Pockets, computer time, TV time, Wii Time etc. The prizes are entirely up to you.
I also included “Best Bee-havior”You can give your child cards to reward them for a positive attitude, helping others, and any other outstanding behavior. These cards are extremely special and only given to children who have displayed exceptional behavior. These can be used to redeem for a more expensive item, such as a trip. Ice cream. A sleepover etc.
A child cannot earn stickers or tickets if they don’t complete a task. Since my kids are still young, I do not force them to do any chores, it’s fairly optional except for the feeding of our animals.
My Chore Chart download includes all the cards you need for chores, tickets, sticker reward sheets and “Best Bee-havior” cards. I was helped by some friends to create common chores for their families so there is plenty of options. There is also a blank set of cards included so you can write in your child’s names, or specific chores that apply to your home.
I also have a Chore Chart for younger kidsThis is easier and less intimidating.
This one is simple. I place the chore cards in slot 2. Your child will complete them and then move the cards to slot 3. I take the cards and replace them with tickets at the end of each day. Then, I put the next day’s chore cards back in slot 2.
If they finish all their tasks on a given day they will get a sticker in slot #4 of the rewards chart. They also can earn Best “Bee-havior” tickets as well. This download includes less chore cards, a blank sheet for you to add in your own, Best “Beehavior” cards and colorful tickets.
