Being a girl is cool, but it isn’t always easy! It isn’t for nothing that girls don’t get the same opportunities as boys.
In some countries, girls don’t get an education. In fact, around 66 million girls worldwide are not enrolled in school.
Have you ever been told that you couldn’t do something because you were “a girl”? Keep in mind that Amelia Earhart, when she decided to become a pilot, was also told that way. Sally Ride heard the same thing when she wanted the title of first female astronaut. They refused to listen to anyone. They followed their hearts, their dreams, and achieved their goals. You can do the same.
One other way that girls are often limited is how tv and the media often focus on beauty as a girl’s outward or physical appearance. But, true beauty doesn’t come from the outside. True beauty comes from within. Beautiful people leave a legacy of love, kindness, generosity and good deeds. This is what makes a person truly beautiful, and not their hair, eyes, or shoes.
