Problem 2: Hole in the Hose Pocket hose is leaking from the middle

If your expandable / pocket hose is leaking in the middle it’s likely the inner flexible tube has a hole in it. Pocket hose is not like regular rubber hoses and cannot be repaired with waterproof tape. You will need to do a little bit to work to get it fixed.

- Identify the hole and cut the hose into 2 from that place.

Method 2: Using E6000 Glue, Self-Adhesive tape & some Fishing line for sewing!
Yeah, sounds a bit crazy, but this pocket hose mending method works.
- For this repair you will need
- E6000 Glue
- Self-Adhesive tape
- A razor blade (or thin paper cutter blade)
- Some fishing line (braided is better) and a Needle
- First, cut the outer covering of the hose carefully (do not cut the inner tube) near the place where your hose is leaking.
- The hole can be found by taking the covering off.
- Use the E6000 glue to seal all around the area where the hole is. Smear it well and smoothen it out, leave it for 24hrs to dry.
- Once dried, apply a second layer to E6000 glue just to be sure. Allow to dry for 24 hours.
- Once dried, use the razor blade to slice out any uneven glue clumps. Be careful not to cut the tube.
- Wrap approximately 2 feet of Self-Adhesive Tape around the glue area.
- Finally, pull the outer covering together closing the glued area and then sew it the needle & fishing line.
- All done, your hose is good to go!
